My cultural background and my family are the things in my life that inspire me to grow and pursue the work that I do. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and my education has consisted of a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work. The first 10 years of my career I spent in community mental health. Community mental health has been a great teacher, a place that allowed me to find great mentors, wonderful peers, and allowed me to see and serve the complex mental health needs of our Latino community, a community that I too belong to. We offer Somatic Experiencing , a body oriented modality that has been proven to help those stuck in trauma to move through it and helps to relieve the symptoms of trauma in the body and mind. I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and have been integrating this approach for the last 5 years.
